India -Race of Economic Imperialism -Gross National Happiness

Green leaves and red leaves are beautiful with togetherness just as the beautiful horizon of East and West.

Romain Rolland- “If there is one place on the face of the earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India. For more than 30 centuries, the tree of vision, with all its thousand branches and their millions of twigs, has sprung from this torrid land, the burning wombs of Gods. It renews itself tirelessly showing no signs of decay.”

Like a torch passed from runner to runner, the idea of globalization and Multi-National Corporations has been passed from one nation to another, each carrying it further towards the goal of conquering the universe in terms of economic imperialism. It was once said that the sun never set on the shore of the British Empire. Today the sun does set on the British Empire but not on the shores of the global corporate empires... These MNCs are otherwise known as Transnational Corporations (TNCs), Global Companies, the Cosmo Corps, and so on.

MNCs have created a very good platform for market scenarios where profit maximization is the sole goal. The trap of MNCs has percolated at the grassroots level where profit maximization is overshadowed. GDP has increased satisfactorily. Then why is it so that, in the era of artificial intelligence and technological upheaval, people seek the need for emotional intelligence? These changes in work dynamics have somehow collapsed the Indian Family values and the indigenous cultural values. We are insufficient to put light on the fine line of demarcation between the true value of feminine energy selfless love & nourishment versus fake feminism with ego-centric outlook.

It is our duty that our kids will not be pacified in the nasty trap of alcohol and drugs. Alcohol and drugs have become the new era of happiness and social status indicators. People depend on these intoxications and believe these are the new era social status symbols as the concept of heaven has collapsed. The game of feminism has bred the need for alcoholism which is in itself detrimental to future generations. The future kids will be less than us and is it not a crime against humanity? Change is good when it has some positive impact. But when it is detrimental to society it should be discarded as a rotten tooth which is harmful.

As both the parents are working in many houses and the support system is lacking it is very difficult to raise the children rather it is very easy to cultivate the child’s values by active involvement with them. Reproduction is not about manufacturing a child rather it is about nourishment and enhancing the true values of feminine energy. Rather than going to the malls, we may focus on going to explore nature. Complete involvement with them will bring them back from the distractions of Digital Addiction. Again, technology has its pros and cons. Long back in Indian families, the family members used to have quality time with each other. But these days people see their mobiles as their wake-up prayers. Human communication is limited due to the advent of social media communication platforms i.e., Facebook and Instagram, etc. Young mothers provide the new-era kids with smartphones to feed them food as they find it easier. The patience level has also deteriorated as compared to the ancient generation of mothers.

The big cities in India have given birth to two aspects. For me, the cleanliness of the developed nations or the first world countries and kids being very independent & self-sufficient are good dimensions of the West, that I observed during my visit. In the giant cities of economically developed cities in India, the cleanliness is not up to the mark. Here People throw wastage in from of schools and beside the road which is very unhygienic and unhealthy. I believe this aspect is lacking here if we want to grasp good potentials & dimensions of the West. There is a faculty of conscience that our Indian culture is the best when we care for and respect our elders by touching their feet and being grounded to the earth. When we lower our heads toward the ground, we destroy our ego and ignorance. Now these aspects are eradicated. I believe these are very unique and should be there with our kids by cultivating their heritage.

In my closing lines, I would rather be optimistic about the beautiful, rationalized conglomeration of the East and West as once said by Swami Vivekananda is the real value of development. Moreover, if I love and respect my mother first then I dare to respect all women in the world as we are the citizen of the universe when we are the citizen of our country first.
