The Paradisaical Cambridge

At every night,in an absolute solitude, the city of Cambridge as if connects itself to the cosmos to gain the wisdom and in the day-time it produces a resurrection of lots of golden-sun like particles and this resurgence percolated all-around to spread the ray of education.A man of Cambridge is a man.His radiation has eternally lit the world .His redolence  always  casts an aromatic spell everywhere to make the civilization prosperous.   Whoever stands in-front of the iconic educational hub of the world understands very well the value of education and becomes spontaneously intolerant to ignorance.Punting in the Cam river shows the arts, architecture, sculpture of the world famous Cambridge which automatically outputs a buoyant-spirit for appreciating the pride of mankind,a benchmark among universities.
It is the third oldest surviving university in the world. In 1209,the opening steps for the framework of the university was a resultant of a consequence of the dispute of some scholars and the townsfolk of the Oxford university. The official blueprint commence in the year 1231 by a charter from the King Henry III of England and in 1233 Pope Gregory IX gave the right,i.e, the graduates from Cambridge to teach everywhere in Christendom .It is the part and parcel of the 'golden triangle' of the English Universities.Oxford and Cambridge are jointly called Oxbridge. Here the Chancellor's office is ceremonial and the Vice-Chancellor is the principal administrative head of the organization.  This is a collegiate university consisting of 31 colleges and six academics schools. The colleges are as follows:
1.King's College8.Trinity Hall16.Sidney Sussex College24.Darwin College
2.Trinity College9.Corpus Christi College17.Downing College25.Wolfson College
3.St John's College10.Queens' College18.Girton College26.Clare Hall
11.St Catharine's College19.Newnham College27.Robinson College
4.Peterhouse12.Jesus College20.Selwyn College28.Lucy Cavendish College
5.Clare College13.Christ's College21.Fitzwilliam College29.St Edmund's College
6.Pembroke College14.Magdalene College22.Churchill College30.Hughes Hall
7.Gonville & Caius College15.Emmanuel College23.New Hall31.Homerton College
Initially these colleges were male-oriented.Finally it understood very well that if you educate a man ,you educate a person, but if you educate a woman, you educate a family. In the year 2004-05 the male to female ratio was 52% to 48%. In these colleges, once the examination of mathematics was mandatory but later it was vehemently criticized. The pedagogical system of this institution was supervision here,on the contrary it was called tutorial in the Oxford. There are 114 libraries in the university. It's publishing arm,the Cambridge  Printing Press  is the oldest and the second largest press in the world.According to a statistical estimation it is the wealthiest university in the European economy. It has a sustainability of being in the list the first few top colleges in the global arena.

There was not a very good terms and conditions between the townsfolk and the students. But now-a-days the things have changed completely as the university itself has become a resource of employment. The term town and gown is used to differentiate the townsfolk from the students by means of  their uniforms.
The history of Cambridge is a documentary of many signifying scientists, mathematicians such as Francis Bacon,Sir Isaac Newton,Lord Kelvin,Charles Darwin,Charles Babbage and many more. The great economists such as Milton Friedman,John Maynard Keynes,Amartya Sen etc belong to this university, who have  shown the shining path  to the human race by their glittery torches. All branches of knowledge has many great pioneers. Some of them are definitely related to this university. These names symbolizes  only a drop of water out of the great knowledge-ocean of Cambridge. The list is outstanding and never-ending.The person is really glorified if  he is a Cambridge man. An University should be a place of light,of liberty,of learning. The town has an angelic beauty and it's  place of knowledge has a  celestial bliss. Once the greatest diplomat or otherwise known as the Indian Machiavelli ,Chankya told,'books  are as useless for a stupid person as a mirror is useless for a blind man'.Similarly the importance of Cambridge will only be understood by a pragmatic person.
